With another season of Camp Ultraviolet Summer camps on the way, today we wanted to share a peek behind the purple curtain at what we do at CUV, and some fun photos of CUV campers in action!
Read on to learn about the Camp Ultraviolet curriculum, our mission, what our days look like at CUV, and why CUV is the place to be!
Camp Ultraviolet: What Is It?
Camp Ultraviolet is a program founded by Kelly Hobbs, Certified Mental Performance Consultant ® (CMPC) to help girls 7-13 grow their confidence and self-belief. We do this through teaching mental training skills alongside fun physical activities.

Our missions is always to build girls up, and remind them that working together helps us all succeed.
Our curriculum and amazing speakers helps girls learn about leadership, goal-setting, growth mindset, nutrition, healthy movement and more.
Camp Ultraviolet held its first week-long camp in 2022 in Nashville, TN. Since then, it has bloomed and expanded! In 2025, we are hosting four camps – two in the Nashville area, one in Charleston, SC, and one in Wilmington, DE.
As Camp Ultraviolet grows, we have added one-day events as well, and our summer camps have evolved to include some variations, for instance, in Delaware, we will be hosting our first dance-based camp!

What To Expect At Camp Ultraviolet
Every day at Camp Ultraviolet is a little different, as we focus on different aspects of our curriculum. But our daily routine is generally the same, and offers plenty of opportunity for both fun and friendship.

As Kelly built the Camp Ultraviolet curriculum, she kept in mind her favorite memories from her own athletic-based summer camp experience, and layered in age-appropriate mental training skills that she learned about while pursuing her Master’s Degree in Sport and Performance Psychology.
This means that girls are learning valuable life lessons, in a supportive environment that celebrates individuality and friendship – the ultimate girl power.
Mornings at Camp Ultraviolet
Our camp days begin with a craft and our morning huddle.
From there, we MOVE! Whether it’s barre, pilates, dance or another activity, we infuse plenty of fun and collaborate with experts who love what they do and love teaching.

Then we jump into our core mental training lesson for the day. We explore concepts like teamwork, communication, emotional awareness and more.
Then, we break for lunch and make sure there is plenty of time for campers to chat and get to know one another. It’s so fun seeing the bonds that form during CUV camps!
Afternoons at Camp Ultraviolet
Our afternoons kick off with figure skating or other physical activities (check each location for specific details, or contact us here for more information.)
From there, we cool down with mindful movement – we may stretch, do pilates or do other gentle activities.

Then, we wrap up our day with more learning and plenty of high fives!
